Agent Scott Turner heeft nog drie dagen te gaan voor hij naar de grote stad overgeplaatst zal worden voor het "echte" werk. Wanneer Amos Reed vermoord wordt stort Scott zich op de zaak. De enige getuige is Reed's hond Hooch. Scott moet de zorg voor de hond op zich nemen om te voorkomen dat ze de hond laten inslapen.
