In juni 2016 worden drie kinderen en hun moeder vermoord aangetroffen in hun woning. Hun lichamen worden ontdekt door de vader en man Josiah Wisper, een zakenman die onroerend goed bezit in Harlem. Josiah wordt uiteindelijk uitgesloten als verdachte, maar de lokale gemeenschap denkt nog steeds dat Josiah schuldig is. Josiah wil zijn onschuld aantonen en gaat op zoek naar de echte dader.
