Carrie White is een verlegen meisje dat niet snel vrienden maakt. Iedereen uit haar klas haat haar en pest haar altijd. Na een vernederend incident in de doucheruimte, straft de gymlerares al haar klasgenoten. Eén meisje vindt haar zielig en overtuigt haar vriend Tommy om met haar naar het schoolbal te gaan. Carrie is blij, maar mag niet van haar bezitterige moeder. Uiteindelijk gaat ze toch en wanneer het blijkt dat haar klasgenoten wraak willen nemen op het bal, ontwikkelt ze voor haar onbekende telekinetische krachten die ze tegen haar klasgenoten gebruikt.
Nee, helaas is Carrie nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
