Als Clare haar tante Bridget in Engeland bezoekt voor de feestdagen, ontmoet ze de knappe historicus Liam. Haar tante stelt voor dat ze samen voor het eerst in jaren weer het kerstbal organiseren. Terwijl ze samenwerken, krijgen ze steeds meer gevoelens voor elkaar en beseffen ze dat ze misschien wel voor elkaar gemaakt zijn.
