Eddie 'Gonzo' Gilman wil de waarheid in de schoolkrant schrijven. Maar wanneer hij door zijn redacteur en aartsvijand Gavin Riley uit de redactie wordt gezet, belooft Gonzo wraak te nemen. Hij begint een ondergrondse krant, 'The Gonzo Files', om zijn mening te uiten over de buitenbeentjes die het slachtoffer zijn van Gavin en zijn vrienden. Gonzo stelt een staf samen met de verlegen Ming Na, de voortdurend geplaagde Schneeman, geile Rob (die zijn pijlen richt op de minder aantrekkelijke meiden) en de mysterieuze Evie. 'The Gonzo Files' wordt een grote succes en zet de hele school op zijn kop. Maar hoe succesvoller Gonzo wordt, hoe meer hij er achter komt dat de waarheid gevolgen heeft.
