Dr. Roy Jamnades werkt aan een theorie gebaseerd op ‘nature vs nurture’. Hij runt een weeshuis en scheidt twee identieke tweelingen die hij voor de deur aantrof. De tweeling werd ter adoptie aan twee verschillende families in verschillende steden afgegeven. Een paar jaar later besluit de ene tweeling de stad te bezoeken waar de andere tweeling een circus runt. Daardoor ontstaan verwarringen en misverstanden.
