Mikey Saber is een voormalige porno-acteur die zonder geld zit. Hij besluit Los Angeles achter zich te laten en naar zijn ouderlijke plek in Texas terug te keren, waar zijn vrouw en schoonmoeder wonen. Het lukt het gezinnetje om min of meer met elkaar samen te leven tot Mikey de jonge Strawberry leert kennen. Met deze vrouw die in een donutwinkel werkt, hervalt Mikey in zijn oude gewoontes.
Nee, helaas is Red Rocket nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
