Ash (Campbell) is in de 13e eeuw terecht gekomen en heeft het duistere boek De Necronomicon nodig om weer terug naar zijn tijd te komen. Helaas maakt hij een foutje bij het uitspreken van een vers uit het boek, waardoor hij een dodenleger oproept. Nu moet hij zijn 20e eeuwse kennis gebruiken om het boek terug te krijgen, het leger te verslaan en natuurlijk ook een mooie vrouw te redden.
Nee, helaas is Army of Darkness nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
