De rebelse Rosa woont bij haar grootmoeder en oom in een Calabrisch dorpje. Ze wordt door een trauma achtervolgd dat verband staat met de mysterieuze dood van haar moeder. Beseffend dat haar toekomst reeds vaststaat, besluit Rosa verraad te plegen tegenover haar familie en bloedwraak te nemen. Maar aangezien haar familie onderdeel is van de ‘Ndrangheta, de lokale maffia, kan elke actie fataal blijken.
