Na het overlijden van zijn moeder verhuizen de twaalfjarige Rob en zijn vader naar een afgelegen stadje in Florida. Op een dag ontdekt hij een tijger in een kooi in het bos vlakbij zij huis. Met de hulp van zijn nieuwe vriend Sistine bevrijdt Rob het beest, terwijl hij leert hoe waardevol het is om je verdriet te erkennen.
