Toen de 10-jarige Paul Fronczak stiekem op zoek ging naar de verstopte kerstcadeautjes, vond hij iets helemaal anders: krantenknipsels van zijn ouders waaruit blijkt dat hun zoontje net na geboorte ontvoerd was en twee jaar later als peuter teruggevonden. Ondertussen volwassen, gaat Paul op onderzoek om na te gaan of hij wel echt is wie hij denkt te zijn.
