We volgen Ludwig Dieter in de gebeurtenissen vóór Army of the Dead. Terwijl de zombie-uitbraak nog in een vroeg stadium zit, houdt Dieter zich bezig met kluizen kraken. Door een mysterieuze vrouw wordt hij benaderd om een overval te plegen. Hij stemt toe en voegt zich bij de meest gezochte criminelen op de lijst van Interpol, buitenbeentjes die graag in zijn voetsporen willen treden.
