In de jaren zestig werd chimpansee Lucy opgevoed als mens. Het was een experiment van psychologen van de Universiteit van Oklahoma. Toen Lucy werd overgebracht naar een eiland in Gambia, leefde een jonge studente, Janis, 6 jaar lang met haar samen. Zo werd een mooie vriendschap geboren.
Nee, helaas is Lucy the Human Chimp nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
