Een jockey wordt dood op straat gevonden. Hij is van het balkon van een hotel gevallen. In eerste instantie lijkt het om zelfmoord te gaan. Politierechercheur Cody onderzoekt de zaak echter en stuit op criminaliteit in de paardensport.
