Joe Valencia is een gevestigde acteur die met zijn zoon Junior naar de San Francisco Bay Area reist voor een familiefeestje met Pasen. Nadat vader en zoon arriveren, ontstaat er een vete tussen Joe's moeder Susan en haar zus Theresa. Met pijn en moeite tracht Joe daaropvolgend de familie bij elkaar te houden, zelfs ondanks de ongekende familie capriolen.
