Elf met elkaar verbonden mensen werken in Los Angeles. Paul produceert Hannahs kookshow en ze komen in een grote ruzie terecht wanneer ze vraagt naar een affaire die hij heeft. Mark is stervende aan aids en zijn moeder komt bij hem om over de waarheid te praten. Mannen hebben Meredith in het verleden gekwetst, en dus wijst ze Trents charmes af, maar hij blijft doorzetten. Joan probeert Keenan te versieren. Een paar ontmoet elkaar voor seks, maar zij wil geen vaste relatie. Hugh vertelt tragische verhalen aan vrouwen in bars. Aan het einde van de week komen deze parallelle verhalen samen.
