Het grootste fraudeschandaal van de afgelopen twintig jaar in Duitsland begon nochtans als een succesverhaal. Wirecard, een start-up die in 1999 werd opgericht en zich specialiseerde in de ontwikkeling van betaalsystemen, ontpopte zich razendsnel tot een van de belangrijkste bedrijven in de Duitse digitale sector. In 2020 kwam echter aan het licht dat Wirecard op een ongeziene schaal fraude pleegde en dat er ongeveer 1,9 miljard euro van de boeken waren verdwenen.
Nee, helaas is Wirecard - Die Milliarden-Lüge nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
