Een jonge componiste krijgt de opdracht om het laatste concert van haar overleden mentor af te maken dat onvoltooid bleef na diens onverwachte dood. Al snel ontdekt ze dat het spelen van de door haar mentor geschreven noten verschrikkelijke - zelfs dodelijke - gevolgen heeft. Haar eigen leven riskerend, begint ze aan de missie om de oorsprong van de melodie en de kwaadaardige kracht die het heeft opgewekt, te ontrafelen.
