De film volgt het leven van de bokslegende Muhammad Ali. Geboren als Cassius Clay was Ali zowel binnen als buiten de boksring een fenomeen die de sportwereld in de jaren '60 op zijn kop zette. Uiteindelijk besloot hij zijn "slavennaam" te wijzigen in Muhammad Ali, en groeide hij uit tot een kampioen, een leider en een mediaster.
Nee, helaas is Ali nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
