Politierechercheur Tanya Morris en haar collega Ryan Anderson zijn als water en vuur. Tanya volgt regelmatig het bewijs, maar Ryan gaat op zijn onderbuikgevoel af. Een week voor Kerstmis worden ze op een zaak gezet rondom kunstdiefstallen. Hun hoofdverdachte is Francis Miller. Het tweetal besluit hem te observeren via het huis naast hem. Tanya en Millers onderzoek wordt echter door mensen in de buurt verstoord. Om hun werk geheim te houden en beter te kunnen opereren, doen ze zich voor als pasgetrouwden.
