Ally Morgan is een workaholic SEH-arts die worstelt met de balans tussen werk en privéleven met haar vriend Josh. Op de avond dat ze uit elkaar gaan,voelt Ally zich alleen en ellendig. Ze heeft een toevallige ontmoeting met een knappe barista. Gabe leidt haar naar een kerst bucketlist met leuke activiteiten die ze nooit alleen zou hebben gedaan. Dawn, Ally's beste vriendin en mede-EHBO-arts, heeft Ally nog nooit zo betrokken gezien buiten haar werk en streeft naar een Gabe-Ally-relatie. Nu moet de heilige Maureen de oprechte bedoelingen van Gabe ombuigen als Josh en Ally deze kerst enige kans hebben op verzoening.
