De succesvolle auteur Mikaela organiseert, in de voetsporen van haar overleden moeder, een retraite voor schrijvers in het familiechalet. Ze hoopt zo ook van haar eigen writer's block af te komen. Ze ontmoet er non-fictieschrijver Levi en al snel ontstaat er een romance tussen hen.
