Niet lang na het overlijden van haar moeder, wordt de 29-jarige Emma (Hayley Orrantia) geconfronteerd met een nieuwe realiteit. Haar 54-jarige vader (Dermot Mulroney) start een nieuwe relatie met één van haar vriendinnen uit de middelbare school. Wanneer Emma wordt gedwongen om samen met haar de feestdagen te vieren, begint ze plannen te smeden om het gelukkige koppel uit elkaar te drijven.
