Diep in het Roemeense woud stuit een groep wetenschappers op een klooster uit de 13e eeuw. Het klooster is gebouwd op een ingang van een gigantisch ondergronds grotten complex. Als ze daarna vermist worden, gaat een team duikexperts op onderzoek uit om uit te zoeken wat er met ze gebeurd is.
