Autocoureur Alex Furlong wordt een fractie van een seconde voordat hij een fataal ongeluk krijgt, opgepikt door Vasendak's team van techneuten uit de 21ste eeuw. Zij zijn van plan zijn gezonde lichaam te verkopen aan een zieke rijke man bij de 'McCandless Corporation', om diens geest over te plaatsen in het jonge lichaam. Hij ontsnapt, maar heeft helemaal geen rechten in deze nachtmerrie toekomst van geweld en verval.
