Perry is bij tv-station 'KGGY' om geïnterviewd te worden, maar dankzij tussenkomst van hoofdpresentator Brett Huston wordt het interview teruggetrokken. Bijna iedereen heeft een hekel aan Brett, omdat Brett alle geheimen van de station arbeiders kent. Hij heeft ook een memo geschreven waarin hij alle spelers van het hoofdstation beledigt. Brett wordt doodgeschoten met het pistool van Gillian en wordt gearresteerd voor de misdaad. Gillian schakelt Perry, Della en Ken in om het te onderzoeken. Ken komt dichter bij Cassie, maar zij is een verdachte en wanneer blijkt dat iemand haar probeert te vermoorden, wordt het mysterie groter.
Nee, helaas is Perry Mason: The Case of the Ruthless Reporter nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
