In een poging de Galliërs hun toverdrank te ontnemen, besluiten de Romeinen Panoramix te ontvoeren en hem over de rand van de aarde te gooien. Asterix en Obelix ondernemen een reddingsactie, maar ontdekken tot hun verbazing dat voorbij de Atlantische Oceaan niet het einde van de wereld, maar het continent Amerika ligt.
Nee, helaas is Asterix in Amerika nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
