Plot

Gebaseerd op het waargebeurde verhaal van Dave Fishwick, een selfmade miljonair uit het Britse dorpje Burnley. Dave, opgeklommen vanuit de arbeidersklasse, besluit een bank op te richten om lokale bedrijven een kans te geven. In de poging om zijn geliefde gemeenschap te helpen, schakelt hij de hulp in van de jonge Londense advocaat Hugh. De elitaire financiële instellingen in Londen hebben al meer dan 100 jaar geen nieuwe bankvergunning verleend en zijn vastberaden om Dave tegen te werken.
