Jack Stanton is presidentskandidaat. Stanton houdt van mensen en in het bijzonder van mooie vrouwen. Zijn intelligente en even ambitieuze echtgenote Susan steunt hem door dik en dun en tracht zijn zwakheden door de vingers te zien. Maar als plots een seksschandaal de pers haalt, verliest Stanton z'n goede reputatie en lijken alle inspanningen van z'n medewerkers voor niets te zijn geweest.
Nee, helaas is Primary Colors nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
