Verhaal gebaseerd op een befaamde Amerikaanse radioshow met dezelfde naam onder leiding van Garrison Keillor. Er wordt een weergave gegeven van wat er allemaal gebeurt tijdens de laatste uitzending van de show, 'on the air' en backstage. Aanwezig zijn onder meer de zingende cowboys Dusty en Lefty en country-legende Yolanda Johnson.
