De Londense wijk East End, ergens in de jaren '60. De twaalfjarige Dennis Cleg, alias Spider, ziet hoe zijn vader op wrede wijze zijn moeder vermoordt. De prostituee Yvonne zal haar plaats innemen. Uit angst dat ze hem ook willen vermoorden, smeedt Spider een krankzinnig plan. De gevolgen zijn tragisch. Twintig jaar later komt Spider vrij uit een psychiatrische inrichting en neemt zijn intrek in een rehabilitatiecentrum in zijn vroegere wijk. De schizofrene man keert terug in het verleden en gaat op zoek naar de waarheid. Maar fictie en werkelijkheid lopen voor hem door elkaar, met alle gevolgen vandien.
Nee, helaas is Spider nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
