Een beginnende cateraar, Molly Frost, wordt ingehuurd door Jean Harrison, de perfectionistische directeur van de gerenommeerde Harrison Foundation, om dit jaar het jaarlijkse kerstgaladiner te verzorgen. Het wordt ingewikkeld als Molly verliefd wordt op Jean's neef Carson, een dertiger, een reisfotograaf die geen zin heeft om de stichting van de familie over te nemen... totdat zijn tante hem de taak geeft om ervoor te zorgen dat het verzorgde diner perfect verloopt.
