De regisseur Val Waxman was ooit erg succesvol. Tegenwoordig regisseert hij echter alleen nog maar TV-commercials. Eindelijk krijgt 'ie weer eens een aanbod om een grote film te maken. Het lot wil echter dat Val op dit moment tijdelijk blind wordt, als resultaat van zijn paranoia. Hij probeert samen met enkele vrienden om zijn handicap te verbergen.
