Janie, een opkomende marketingmanager die in The Big Apple woont, keert terug naar haar geboorteplaats Woodland Falls als haar oudoom Randall overlijdt. Randall heeft er zelfs voor gezorgd dat zijn boerenknecht, Dylan, zal helpen bij het evenement, dat wordt gehouden in de uitgestrekte schuur van de boerderij. Zich ervan bewust dat haar vriend uit Manhattan graag wil dat ze terugkeert naar de stad, zodat het paar kan vertrekken naar een eerder geplande vakantie op het strand, begint Janie een onverwachte emotionele ruk te voelen over het leven op een meer authentieke, betekenisvolle manier.
