Wanneer bij een huurmoordenaar een snel voortschrijdende vorm van dementie wordt vastgesteld, krijgt hij de kans om zichzelf te redden door het leven van zijn vervreemde volwassen zoon te redden. Om dit te doen, moet hij racen tegen de politie die hem in de gaten houdt, en tegen de tikkende klok van zijn eigen snel verslechterende geest.
