Wanneer de beruchte 'Sweet Sixteen Killer' 35 jaar na zijn eerste moordpartij terugkeert om nog een slachtoffer te eisen, reist de 17-jarige Jamie (Kiernan Shipka) per ongeluk terug in de tijd naar 1987, vastbesloten om de moordenaar te stoppen voordat hij kan beginnen.
