De schatrijke zakenman Jack (Billy Zane) en zijn modelvrouw Jennifer (Kelly Brook) en matroos Manuel (Juan Pablo Di Pace) zijn bezig met een zeiltocht op hun luxejacht in de Zuidzee. Er ontstaat plotseling brand op het schip waardoor het tot zinken komt evenals het lichaam van Jack, althans zo lijkt het. De enige overlevenden, Jennifer en Manuel, slagen erin een onbewoond eiland te bereiken. Zonder enige hoop op redding creëren zij een klein paradijsje. Maar dan spoelt Jack levend en wel aan op het strand...
