Paula, een eenvoudige actrice die bijrollen vertolkt, staat op het punt de belangrijkste test van haar leven te doorstaan: ze moet bewijzen dat ze het verdient om een hoofdrol te spelen. Ze is de beste van haar klas op school, maar tot nu toe is ze er niet in geslaagd om grote emoties op te wekken.
