De veganistische goth Beth Conner probeert zich een weg te banen door de middelbare school. Ze zou het fijner vinden als het allemaal ten einde kwam, maar Beth is niet in staat om zelfmoord te plegen en te ontsnappen aan haar leven. Op school zal er echter een wedstrijd plaatsvinden waarbij de prijs een geladen pistool is. Als Beth wint, kan ze eindelijk haar droom waarmaken. Maar wanneer een nieuwe lerares, mevrouw Campbell, arriveert, ontwikkelt Beth een nieuwe drang: het eten van mensenvlees.
