Afrika-kenner Allan Quartermain staat erom bekend keihard maar tegelijk charmant te zijn. De man bij uitstek dus om een avontuurlijke expeditie aan te vatten en op zoek te gaan naar de legendarische mijnen van Koning Solomon. Dat hij door allerlei ongure types belaagd wordt, had hij kunnen verwachten. Maar dat hij ook nog wordt opgescheept met een jonge vrouw zo apart als Jessie Huston, had hij zich in zijn stoutste dromen niet kunnen voorstellen.
Nee, helaas is King Solomon's Mines nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
