In Los Angeles vindt de naïeve en eenzame serveerster en aspirant-zangeres Carol een advertentie voor een baan in Tokio. Als ze naar Japan reist om in de nachtclub White Orchid te werken, ontdekt ze het prostitutieplan in de club van Yakuza. Alleen, zonder geld en haar paspoort, wordt ze beschermd door Shiro, maar wordt onder druk gezet door de managers Madame Mori en haar man Hatanaka om open te staan voor de voorstellen van de klant.
