Steve, een nette huisvader, is een echte liefhebber van Kerstmis. Zijn nieuwe buurman Buddy, is zijn absolute tegenpool. Beiden zouden zij graag de mooiste kerstversiering van de buurt willen hebben. Buddy's grote wens is een huis met zoveel kerstlichtjes dat het zichtbaar is vanuit de ruimte. Wanneer het huis van Buddy straalt als nooit tevoren, verandert het georganiseerde leventje van Steve in een complete chaos en besluit hij actie te ondernemen...
