De korporaal Marc Leblanc wordt uit het leger gezet waarna hij Afghanistan verlaat. Eenmaal thuis aangekomen herenigt hij zich met zijn zieke vader, zelf een oorlogsveteraan. De heren zijn niet in staat om hun emoties te tonen en verbergen zich achter de stilte. Marc kan maar moeilijk aarden in het alledaagse leven en zijn rigoureuze militaire discipline neemt het stilaan van hem over.
