Een dramatisch verhaal over golf en mensen, dat zich afspeelt op de prachtige Tokara-eilanden. Igarashi heeft zijn verleden weggegooid en is de maatschappij ontvlucht, om naar het eiland Hinoshima te verhuizen. Hier, in 'Japan's laatste verborgen paradijs', ontmoet hij Tonbo, de enige middelbare scholier van het eiland. Tot zijn verbazing herbergt dit meisje een buitengewoon talent voor golf!? Deze ontmoeting markeert het begin van een belangrijke verandering in hun lot.
