Plot

Het verhaal van de zogenoemde Rozenoorlog en de opkomst van het huis Tudor. Het is 1485 wanneer prinses Elizabeth van York wordt uitgehuwelijkt aan de toekomstige koning Hendrik VII in de hoop dat er vrede ontstaat in een land wat verscheurd wordt door oorlog. Engeland is herenigd maar haar huwelijk wordt zwaar op de proef gesteld als er geruchten de ronde doen, dat haar lang-verloren broer prins Richard nog steeds in leven is en plannen maakt om de troon te bemachtigen. Dit brengt Elizabeth voor een zeer moeilijke keuze. Wordt ze namelijk een Tudor vrouw of de prinses van York? Een keuze tussen haar man of haar broer en de rechtmatige erfgenaam van de kroon.
