Een van de grootste natuurrampen aller tijden, vertegenwoordigd in boeiende foto's en indrukwekkende speciale effecten. Tegen de historische achtergrond van het uitbreken van Vesuvius creëerde Giulio Base een kleurrijke en indrukwekkende film.
